Thank you to everyone who generously provided referrals to us this past quarter, as we presented a check for $1,340 to Mayors’ Feed the Hungry, a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Founded in 1987 by former Sarasota mayor Fred Adkins, the program has grown to serve Sarasota and Manatee counties and is endorsed by several mayors and county commission chairs. Mayors’ Feed the Hungry has collected and distributed over 600 tons of food and over $4,000,000 in food gift cards.
All contributions are tax deductible and you can follow it’s Facebook page to see upcoming events and/or food drives. Chairman John Swallow states on the website, “We are issuing a call to action to our communities, businesses and community organizations to lend a helping hand once more. Please send a contribution today and help make sure that no child or adult in Sarasota and Manatee counties will go hungry this holiday season. Every dollar counts, so please give generously and feed as many as you can.” JFI is proud to support such an honorable charity!
