Thank you to everyone who generously provided referrals to us this past quarter, as we presented a check for $2,140 to Venice High School Music Boosters, a 501(c)3 charity for the marching band at our local high school.
The VHS Music Boosters was a large part of David Joyner’s childhood as he’s a former band member and drum major at VHS. He continued his musical pursuits at Wake Forest University, where he also met his beautiful wife, Caitlin Joyner, in the music program.
Needless to say, band is near and dear to the Joyner’s hearts. We specifically selected this organization because, drum roll… the VHS Marching Indians were formally invited to London to march in the 2025 London New Year’s Day Parade! This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity offers the students an unforgettable experience; however, the cost for a trip of this magnitude is about $3,000 per student, and according to the VHS Music Boosters, there are 185 students attending the 2025 trip. VHS Music Boosters goal is to raise $500,000 and will be doing several fundraising initiatives throughout 2024 to accomplish this.

We’re excited to support an organization that does so much for the youth in our community and appreciate all of the referrals that make our “Help Our Community” referral program possible.
