We want to give a quick shoutout to David Joyner, agency owner, on his phenomenal job at the first-ever Community Scorecard Breakfast sponsored by the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce. The purpose was to address the questions of “how are we doing and where are we going” and the three panelists did just that.
The two additional panelists included Venice Mayor Nick Pachota and Sarasota County Commissioner Neil Rainford. The event was held at the Venice Yacht Club and was moderated by Justin Taylor, who is the Public Policy Chair at the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce.
The three panelists touched on many topics and each expanded in their areas of expertise. David spoke about insurance and the future of the Florida market. While it’s not right around the corner, brighter days are ahead. In addition, they addressed growth and housing, potential for more multi-use shelters, workforce needs, and the infrastructure to support local growth.
