Joyner Family Insurance, a trusted local independent insurance agency, proudly presented a donation of $2,100 to Jessy’s Toy Box through its ongoing “Help Our Community” Referral Program.
Jessy’s Toy Box is a non-profit that began with a simple idea from a child who knew the hospital all too well. Jessy Haberman was only 5 years old when he started collecting toys to bring smiles and comfort to other kids facing hospital stays by providing a donated toy. Toys collected in Sarasota County go to children under pediatric care at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, HCA Florida and John Hopkins All Children’s Hospital.
In 2018, Jessy passed away but requested that the smiles continued. Through family and volunteers, Jessy’s Toy Box has expanded across four states and has about 50 collection boxes locally. Joyner Family Insurance’s “Help Our Community” Referral Program is designed to make a difference locally—making a donation quarterly to a designated charity in recognition of referrals received. For every referral made, Joyner Family Insurance donates $10 to the Charity of the Quarter—whether or not the referral becomes a client. Since the program’s inception in 2017, Joyner Family Insurance has donated over $59,000 to charitable organizations in our local community. Community members are encouraged to participate as it’s an easy way to support local causes while helping friends and neighbors explore their insurance options.
