Joyner Family Insurance, a trusted local independent insurance agency, proudly presented a donation of $1,590 to Tidewell Foundation Blue Butterfly Program through its ongoing “Help Our Community” Referral Program.
In 2018, Tidewell Foundation launched the Blue Butterfly program in response to this overwhelming need. Blue Butterfly is an evidence-based community outreach program for children aged 5-18 and their caregivers who have experienced the death of a significant person in their lives.
This world-class service includes bringing expertise in counseling and mental health to the young people in our community who need it most. With guidance, children and families learn to process their loss and avoid common problems that can result from unresolved trauma, like depression and self-harm. Joyner Family Insurance’s “Help Our Community” Referral Program is designed to make a difference locally—making a donation quarterly to a designated charity in recognition of referrals received. For every referral made, Joyner Family Insurance donates $10 to the Charity of the Quarter—whether or not the referral becomes a client. Since the program’s inception in 2017, Joyner Family Insurance has donated over $65,000 to charitable organizations in our local community. Community members are encouraged to participate as it’s an easy way to support local causes while helping friends and neighbors explore their insurance options.
